How to Plan Exhibitions? (1997)

By Iain Maitland

A practical guide to exhibiting at trade shows, consumer exhibitions, and private events aimed at owners/managers of small to medium size businesses looking to exhibit for the first time.

Chapter include types of exhibitions, who’s who, how to assess yourself, identifying your market, setting your budget, how to select an exhibition, designing a stand, using specialist contractors, and how to make a successful exhibition.

Written readably and succinctly the guide is well laid out and easy to use, allowing the reader to dip in and out at the pertinent pages. Although aimed primarily at the novice exhibitor the book also includes useful tips for the seasoned pro and an extensive appendix section listing UK exhibitions, trade bodies and associations, and exhibition organisers.

The book does not however, as the name might suggest offer advice on planning exhibitions themselves from an organisers perspective.
